Bowls of Chocolate!

Recently James and I made chocolate bowls and chocolate covered strawberries for our Saturday Date. We had a lot of fun and the bowls turned out pretty well. Here is how we did it...

Step 1. Melt chocolate and blow up some balloons. Dip the balloons into the melted chocolate so that the bottom half of the balloon is covered.

Step 2. Place balloons onto cookie sheet covered in aluminum foil. Put the cookie sheet into the freezer.

Step 3. After the chocolate has frozen, carefully snip the top of the balloons and allow the balloon to deflate.

Step 4. Carefully peel the rest of the balloon from the chocolate bowl.

Step 5. Fill the chocolate bowl with whatever you want... pudding, mouse, fruit. We chose ice cream and chocolate covered strawberries. Enjoy!

  1. I think I'll try that this week!

  2. Looks fun. Have you ever tried to make cookies bowls? You make cookie dough and then turn a cupcake pan over and put the dough over the cups. Don't know if that makes sense. Tried it once, didn't look as cool as yours.
